They do scan but it could fail afterward - should Tibbe get lost and his chip fail after his last vet visit, I'm going to prepare a little album of his many looks - short, medium, long hair, description of identifying marks, body parts, things he loves, is scared of, things like that. Close up pix from the top of his head, muzzle, profile of head, profile of head and body - that sort of thing. His tail set is rather high so a close-up of just that. What happened to Bengi has started us all thinking about a lot of things.
