Well not only is this my first puppy I am also a first time dog owner. I have read a bunch of stuff on line and did a lot of "homework" for the last 3 months on Yorkies. I currently am starting a business from home after quiting a very stressful job 6 months ago so I have lots of time for my new baby.

My husband bought Tigger for me last week & things are going really well. Potty training on puppy pad and crate training. Even gave him his first bath.

My question right now is that Tigger wants to lick me. First it was my toes and fingers now he wants to lick any bare skin when I hold him. I notice that he is more likely to try this when he is tired and I am loving him before I put him down for a nap. Why is he doing this and is it ok? I have been discouraging it.
