this advice if given to the wrong person, especially one not familiar with dogs might be misunderstood. the key words in this post is "gentle way" who even knows how old this puppy is, lately on YT i have seen people getting puppies earlier than 8 weeks, if this is a very young puppy there could be several issues going on. I really think that unless the originator of the thread comes back and give us more info like the age and the problems she is having with the puppy we are grasping at straws trying to give advice on a situation we really know nothing about.
