I have heard of it. In Texas as far as I know it's not permitted.

I already have all of my plans done and paid for, and even my Urn for whne the time comes. That way all anyone has to do is call a number and it all taken care of from there, even getting the ME to sign off on it. In Texas if your being cremated a ME a has to sign the death certificate.
