Cresties are cute, I have always thought I wanted one.. But I change my mind every other month. Right now it's no, and then in a month it will be OMG I love those dogs, I HAVE to have one.
I have these cute little biker jackets for my guys. Since he has wool allergies, I would look into something made of synthetic fibers. My his n hers biker jackets are made with fleece inner lining which is polyester.
I have to commend you for showing and having fun with your hairless. Most show dogs are hairy hairless that are shaved or even naired to get the look. Few people are showing true hairless, sadly. In the show ring, all that flowing hair is what wins, and it's easier to get a winning look by making a hairy hairless look like a true hairless than going with a dog that is a true representative of the hairless standard.
The one thing to watch for is because he's a true hairless, he'll likely have more dental issues as the gene that codes for coat also codes for teeth.. That's another thing, the hairy hairless tend to have better mouths than true hairless. There is a true hairless that has championed if I recall, that has just about as much locks as a shaved hairy hairless, but I forget his name.. I found out about him when I was on one of my I want a Crested kicks. Few breeders have the patience to breed for the right balance of hair and skin, and most go the easy way, and just use hairy hairless.. which can actually have almost as much fur as a powder puff, |
