What kind of forum tells you to push the dogs face in the urine???

I would also have him checked for a urinary tract infection or possible kidney problems. It's also very possible he has developed stones in the bladder. Although some male dogs do mark it sounds like yours is going excessively. A belly band may help protect your home but is not a complete solution.

Obsessions like licking sometimes respond to you redirecting their attention to something else that they like better. Sometimes they learn the behavior from their mother that has been kept caged all it's life. It is going to take consistent redirecting to break the habit. I know with 2 of them doing it the challenge is great. Exercise is also helpful in getting the mind out of obsessive behavior.

Do your dogs seem constipated? It' s not unusual for them to go off the edge of the pad once in a while but if they are having trouble getting the poo out I would consider a food change or trying to get them to drink more water.
