I didn't see your reply. I do believe that the alternative registries are harmful, because they allow breeders with no breeding rights to register their puppies. This is the same as thief, they were sold dogs with no breeding right, but breed them anyway. This in turn, prompts some breeders to neuter much too early, which can be harmful to dogs. Secondly, anyone who buys a dog from these alternative registries may breed them and we all know that not every dog should be bred. So this causes even more backyard breeding. Thirdly, these registries, especially the ones founded by the commercial breeders have no real kennel inspections; it's like the wolf guarding the chicken coop. I strongly believe that no one should support these registries, and some of them, with their look-alike names, for example, the Continental Kennel Club chose their name so that they would be mistaken for the reputable, Canadian Kennel Club, and I’m sure this was merely to deceive the puppy buyer. Most breeders give a bill of sale, and this should prove ownership.
