, proof of ownership is just that, proof of ownership, not lineage, pedigree, etc.. but we know that is a LOT of dogs registered with the lesser registries, and I do believe now that proof of ownership is important, microchip is good but not everyone does, that is why MY puppies leave my HOME with a microchip already implanted. if they don't want one so one of my puppies is out of the question. Education in ownership of a dog should be part of a good breeder talk to their posible parents. I did to Zoey's and they never did register her so my new policy is I register the chip for them and just will charge them the fee.. starting with this new litter..
