Peanut will not potty in his crate, he is in a pretty large crate- probably can fit a 25-30 pound dog in there. I put his food, water and bed/ blanket in there and he has room to get up and move around.. I leave him in there from 8 in the morn till about 5 when I get home from work.

He is the type of dog that likes to be in his crate, he feels safe in there. It works for us-

I don’t see any problem with what your friend is doing.. I had Peanut set up like that with the Pee pad when he was a pup.. Peanut is different, he loves his crate. In the morning I will have to pull him out to go potty, he will run outside to pee and then run back in his crate.

Does she leave food as well?
