The owner mentioned she had 2 daughters and they cried almost every night when Colby ran away so that's why she decided to adopt another dog. And she was willing to take him back, but I could just sense that she sounded a little overwhelmed at the thought of 2 dogs and 2 small daughters so that's why I offered to keep him and give him a loving home. Just wanted to throw that out there so everyone doesn't think shes a villain in the story! lol.
But her loss is def my gain, I'd been looking for the right puppy for us for the past couple of months and Colby just felt into our laps. Thanks everyone!
