This is a very good thread. ONe of the interview questions of a "new vet" you might want to ask is ; what is their policy on scanning new pets to their clinic? And do they have a universal scanner?

Also having the chip checked every year is a great idea! I know when I had Magic's Xray's done his chip had migrated a bit, but they were able to find it!

Wouldn't it be wonderful if all vets belonged to an on line system, so that country wide when we sent in a missing dog alert, it automatically went out to all ER hospitals and vet clinics in the nation!
