Anyway, I understand all you mean, from an owner point of view.
Being a 3rd generation of breeders I can tell you that just the home change is enough change to make a tiny yorkie stressed. Somehow, the continued medication for the full 9 days stabilizes the fecal form. I would avoid giving the sugar, it is only gonna make your problems worse as you mentioned yourself, she may become a diabetic.
I have raised so many tynies ! I have it on my blood lines.
You do what you think it is better of course. But you need to get this puppy stable as fast as you can. Rest, excellent food ( source of stable energy ).
And i would re-peat the meds.
understand different cultures and how they work. Not every single puppy stresses out, but because some do, i hold mine with a deposit until they are ready to go home at 12 weeks or soo... easy transition.
Well, wish you all the best and hopefully we will hear good news soon !
XOXO
Hi..Thank you once again for your advice. I had Hollee at the vet on Monday this week for her 2nd vacs. She seemed to have turned the corner from Fri eating her Kibble herself. But when I weighed her at the vet she hadn't put on any weight in two weeks (six stools a day..I wonder why) So my vet said no to rabies just yet and just did her other vacs & started her on flagyl. Which she is still on & will finish on Mon next week. From the next day her stools stablised to two a day & by Fri she had put on 100gms. But yesterday I made her chicken with a little rice & she ate it greedily. I had some food made for her which she wouldn't eat so I offered it to our older dog & little Hollee dived for that too! then she did that again today and seemes to have doubled her size. Now she is walking around with a humped back and tail down and just wanting to curl up and sleep. I phoned our emergency vet just now & she said she is feeling uncomfortable from over eating & cramps from the rice..Oh dear..the vet said to syringe a/d diet into her (2mls) which I did and am waiting for a while. I will give her another 2mls later depending on how she reacts as she hasnt had a good meal since lunch time & just bits since then. Any help on this would be so appriciated. Ax
