It is more than likely the knees. As the dog gets older the connective tissue in the knees wears off. It gets very painful to bend the joint to go up and down stairs. Sometimes going down can be worse than going up because of the angel of the bone as it rubs in the joint in that position. Do your little guy a favor and carry him up and down the stairs. He has given you a lot of years. It's the least you can do for him at this point. |
