Awww I hope your girl gets better soon!! Most pups are starting to wean at 5 weeks, so the pups will thrive. Yep an ex pen is what I use. I have 3 of them. One for the whelping and post delivery mama. One for the older pups that have moved from the confines of my bedroom, I usually do this at 5 weeks. This pen I keep in our family room, so the pups can constantly be around the family. I keep potty pads in one corner......toys and beds in another....and food in the other. My 3rd one is for when the finally get old enough to go outside. (I don't do that until after their second dose of shots at 10 weeks.) I also have 2 portable ex pens that I keep on hand, and use quite a bit. Keep us posted on how everyone is doing. |
