I went looking today myself to see if I could find a body. But I did not find one. I looked all around the area it was hit. Nothing. I know he couldn't have got far with a back side injury. But I guess they are tougher than I think. He might have went into the woods next door. It is very close. I am too chicken to go through there. Do you have foxes in your area? Foxes will nab a slow moving opossum for a meal sometimes. Yuck! Nature can be cruel but it happens. The fox population has made a big jump around here in the last couple of years. They are more of a night time animal as well.
