I have never heard of such a thing and though I haven't had that many Yorkies myself, I have done a lot of phone calling, going to meet breeders, see their dogs/living quarters and talked to an awful lot of other pet owners about their purchase situations and breeders. Never have I come across this one. It was responsible of you to post this information for anyone who might now or in the future consider dealing with this breeder. It is certainly something I would want to know about her. And whatever kind of dogs of she had, frankly I for one would not be dealing with her, knowing how she treated you. i'm sure sorry you've had your hopes and dreams for life with this little one dashed. I hope and pray you find the dog you need and want very, very soon. Please keep us posted on your progress. |
I have to say, I agree with you. This breeder has the top blood-lines; Rothby, Pastoral.
And she and I spoke on the phone, 2 days before my husband and I went to see the puppy, and she never mentioned that the puppy had two inguinal hernias. We talked about her quite a bit, because I explained to her that I am looking for a very outgoing, playful Yorkie, and a short muzzle, tiny ear set, etc.
If she had told me on the phone, that the puppy had hernias, I don't believe I'd have gone to see her.
In 31 years, I have had 3 Yorkies, and each of my girls has come from a reputable Show breeder.
One breeder actually changed her health guarantee, when I commented that I could never give a puppy back, if the puppy got sick. She changed it to my being allowed to keep the puppy, if I wanted, and she would help me with any medical bills.
Now, that's what I consider a breeder that truly cares about the puppies she brings into this world.
Unfortunately for me, she retired.
I felt that anyone would want to know, if they were going to contact her, based on my 1st review.
Thank you for understanding the intent of my post. It means a lot to me.
