You definitely made the right decision to pass on this puppy!

I really feel that it is best to wait awhile before doing breeder reviews. This time will allow you to really "see" how the breeder responds to you over time, and how well the puppy matures into a healthy adult.
Thank you, Gemy. I have so much respect for you. I read so many of your posts, and you are incredibly knowledgeable, and contribute so much to YT.

I learned a valuable lesson.....I will never again, post a breeder review, until, as you said, I have had my puppy a year, and really see how the breeder responds to any issues during the course of that year.

I think, I was just so impressed with this breeder, from speaking with her, at great length on the phone, esp. with what she said about her health guarantee, covering genetic health problems, that I never imagined she wouldn't cover the cost of the hernia repair surgery. And spending time with her, in her home.

My Vet told me that inguinal hernias are a congenital defect.

And, if she had been willing to cover the cost, I would still have bought the puppy.

So, maybe in restrospect, it is for the best that she refused.
