I have a Chihuahua and a Yorkie and although they are restricted, they have never been crated. I'm pretty sure they do a whole lot of sleeping when we aren't home but neither one has ever been destructive. My Chihuahua is about 11years old and my Yorkie is almost 2 years old. I am glad they have each other for company.........I think they are less likely to get into mischief that way!
