I take Gracie out for a walk at least twice a day. I usually do comb her when we come inside. When the grass is wet in the morning I have to make sure to do a quick comb through to make sure she doesn't get tangles. If I don't get her combed out when her legs and belly are still damp it will be much harder to get out any tangles out once her hair dries.
Now that the leaves are coming off the trees her fur picks up some of the small leaves so as fall progresses she will start looking like a walking shrub by the time she comes in. Another reason for a quick comb through. When it gets a little cooler her sweaters and coats will help keep her from picking so much stuff up.
During the summer I also use a flea comb when we come in to make sure she hasn't picked up any fleas or other bugs during our travels.
Once your little one gets more mature she probably will not be quite so timid and you may even find she starts to like being out there taking care of business. |
