I love Christmas time too
We got our first real tree last year. We also have old unfinished floors and the needles made a mess, but it was worth it to have the scent.
The past couple years I have just lit up the columns on our porch and put up a wreath. I'm hoping to do more this year, but I will wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate. I like to enjoy my fall decorations until Thanksgiving.
