I had a Shih-tzu that had mites....I think they even called it demodex mange or something. The dips are horrible and I don't know why it keeps from hurting them. I remember, some dip got in his ear and had caused a bad infection...vet took care of at no charge (of course). I heard it was dangerous if it got in their eyes, month, etc. I remember, we tried numerous shampoos, lotions, etc.....My little guy never had hair loss though, which I thought would be mange....anyway, all doggies do have mites and I thought certain mites were passed from their mother to them through milk or something......anyway, I know what you are going through and I feel for you. Our little guy didn't live long (had lots of health issues). Good luck and I hope things work out for you and your little one!
