For me it works good. Twice the size as my dog. It hooks to his harness.He can lay down. Sit up. It adjust tight to the seat. Not to expensive at Bed Bath & Beyond with the 20% off. If you go 4x4 sure it may move but stays
pretty stable to me. Moki took time to get use to it. See him barking?? ~ 10+ car rides he's fine. He will sleep and look out.
