Your hopes came true !! I received a PM from ladyjane already and Cookie's outcome is so encouraging. I went to bed last night in tears because everything I read kept saying "poor outcome" and "no cure." After everything Spanky has been through since being rescued from a horrid mill and all the work we've done trying to get his seizures stabilized over the past two years, this news was too much to take in.

Since getting the news just a short few weeks ago, Spanky has undergone a lot of testing and biopsy. Because of his seizure history, of course we had to rule out liver and kidney causation first. When all of that testing came back okay, I was relieved ,,, for a nanno second. The other shoe dropped fast when the diagnosis of PLE came in. Spanky had a very bad reaction and recovery to his liver biopsy so it's been decided for now not to biopsy his intestines. GI specific enzyme tests are with the lab now since it's the only non invasive way to get some kind of information and treatment plan. Hopefully I will have some more information by the middle of next week.

I'll keep everyone updated.

Sandy
