(Even though we have always been careful, we are now extremely cautious.)

The ER Vet did tell me that we were very lucky with Vivi and her corn cob eating. She said she had worked with dogs in the ER that had eaten corn cobs, and things did not turn out so well. We are thankful that she did not have to have surgery for an obstruction or get pancreatitis. Both of these seem to be fairly common results from gnawing on corn cobs. (Thankfully, two and a half days of fluids in the ER cured the problem.)

Anyway, your prayers are much appreciated. Also, who knows? Maybe this thread can be of help to someone with the same emergency someday.
Horray!

So glad Vivi's back to 100%! Gotta love her still waiting for something to slip from the trash.
