I know a lady that helps out with the cat rescue issue. She has several cats herself. She has a doggy door that goes out into a narrow enclosure that opens up into a wide covered fenced area. A carpenter could make one easily. She bought hers from a company that makes them. I know they make outdoor kennel type things for dogs but the cat enclosure has a top on it and is very secure. She bought various sections to make the design that works for her. They make a multitude of kinds. Some very fancy and some just basic. I used to have a larger sized one years ago when I raised Himalayan cats. Something like that would work great for letting your dog go outside but keeping it safe from birds and other critters. |
