Jaeger was REALLY well socialized as a puppy (not at all til 10 weeks though
) and still has this issue. The dog trainer says its a part of his resource guarding issue and to keep very on top of our routine and enforcement of rules until his increased aggression passes in a few days (I know most dogs dont get aggressive about change but Jaeger sometimes does.) If it's a barking issue (occasionally) or a fear issue (almost never with him) I will offer him said object to sniff, or, in the case of a bigger issue, I will stand by the object and offer treats.
