I have one each. My Male Sneakers tail is Docked, and My Female Becca's is full.

I FREQUENTLY give them rubs and pats on their butts, and actually do a rub directly across the area back there which "debris" may have attached to after a poop, and neither of them pay any attention or react in any special way from my touching.

However, when I do find something lingering there, I just pick them up, set them in the Tub, and use a Hand Held Shower to rinse the area directly. My Male Sneakers is somewhat indifferent about the washing, but Becca really likes it. She sorta looks back at what I'm doing, and thrust her tongue out over and over.

That "debris" can be limited to some extent.
I have the groomer cut the hair on their tails short, about 1/2" out away from their butts.

I call it "Poop Room"
