My grandma's first job when she was 12 years old was being a block kid...running up and down a line swinging on a chain attatched to a large netal block that whacked cows on the head before they were dropped into a grinder in the slaughter house!
Growing up my Nanny aleays had bunnies in a hutch in the yard. I used to get mad we weren't allowed to play with them, its because sge didnt want us getting attached they were not pets they were food...
I prefer free range antibiotic free etc organic meat. I eat meat, I see no reason to be cruel to tge animals even strictly used for consumption.
I love the wholr Jewish Kisher idea that animals must ve treated not only cruelty free but killed humanely.
