Don't know if it's okay under your dog's specific circumstances, but I lure my pup with cheese. I cut pills by half and roll it with cheese. He smells and kind of knows there's more than cheese there, but he loves it. For him, liquid meds are more difficult, but a siringe does it, & give cheese after.
