Welcome to Yorkie Talk and congratulations on your new puppy! Each section of the YT forum has sticky posts with great information, and as others mentioned above, there is the YT library and great books to read.

The best advice up front that I can think of is 1) Do the Yorkie Shuffle -- be careful where you step and sit....they can sneak up on you and get underfoot

2) Start training right away -- basic commands, potty training, grooming training. Be patient and consistent and work a little each day on these things. Short sessions are best. Touch your pup all over to get her accustomed to being handled for grooming.

3) Make sure your house is puppy proof. Review a list of dangerous substances and foods. Have emergency numbers and directions and your vet's info on hand.

I blogged about new puppy supplies and basics here: New Puppy Supplies - Dog Life and Style

Do you have any specific questions? Don't hesitate to ask!
