Your sister looks GREAT considering what she went through. Normally if you find a dog and are able to track down the owner you are excited and want to meet them and share all the details on where he was found and what the dog has been doing. That's why I feel it was someone that originally thought of keeping the pup but after seeing all your effort and determination started to feel guilty and scared that they could not get away with it, so it was easier to just drop him off and not be asked a bunch of questions. When my sister's yorkie went missing she was out of the country and my elderly parents were watching her. They did nothing like you guys did, including not calling me because I was in MI and they were in NY or not calling my sister because they did not want to ruin her vacation. I still get so angry when I think about it because had they contacted my sister or I the dog would have been returned before nightfall since the people that found her called the number on the tag which was my sister's home phone. But my folks don't know about things like caller ID, the computer or walk very well.
I really think your situation proves why the effort you took is needed and can work, once again I am just so happy that Teddy is back with his furever family. |
