We have taught Callie to stay when the door is open and now even if we forget to say stay and the door is open and no one is in between her and the door she will still wait for the screen door to close before she stands up to look out it but just about every time we are still very careful with the door and her. When she was a puppy before she was trained it was a nightmare because she got out two or three times and chasing her down was hard but thank god she loves people and would go to the first neighbor who said her name. Last year when we had family over I was going to leave with my aunt and Callie got out and it scared the crap out of me but all she wanted was to follow me and go with me she didn't go anywhere but I still would never let her out on purpose and gave the family visiting a lecture about making sure she didn't get out and don't hold the door open.
