Not sure why hawks are illegal to shoot. DH says they are too. Yet, other predators have a season where try are hunted. Hmmmm. Anyone know?[
They kill invasive diesease carry rodents thus are useful and protected.
In some places there is a direct corrolation with their protection and thwir religious significance to indigious people from that region.
Some places you can hunt elk others they are federally protected that one has always puzzled me.
