My husband and I both work full time. All 3 of my yorkies are gated in the kitchen and bathroom area. They are trained to potty outside and pee pad. I do come home on my lunch hour, but they are just fine being home all day by themselves. All they do is sleep all day, but when my daughter gets home at 1:30, they are ready to play.
