I hestitate to answer this question as I have recently been told many show breeders keep a red leg to darken the color from time to time...I had no clue????

I am not familiar with strengthening a bitches line by breeding her back to her sire either..inbreeding will reveal any faults and genetic problems in the line..but a better way IMO is..if you have a quality bitch, of excellent pedigree, I would breed her to another quality male of excellent pedigree to produce the best you can.
