We both work full time. DH leaves home after me and gets home first because he only travels half the distance I do to work. Brody and Mia are home alone...well, with the kitties...for a good chunk of the day and they do fine. They potty outdoors, but I have puddle pads set up in the house for those 'just in case' situations, and on occasion, I need to change a pad. They love to see us come home, and don't like being left at home, and try to guilt us when we go to leave when they cannot go, but I am relatively certain that they sleep most of the day. They have full run of the house all the time, but they were both two years old in March 2012. I had a Yorkie-Poo years ago and worked and he stayed home all day, too. I cannot recall him ever having an accident during the day, and I had no puddle pads at the time. Even my large dog, after he became afraid to be outside because lightning struck a tree next to the driveway he was standing in, never had an accident until he was a 'senior'...12 years old or so. |
