I work full time. Up until recently though, there was always someone at the house because my DH worked a different shift or my kids were coming and going. Now DH and I are on the same shift and the girls have left home for college. Fortunately, I am only two blocks from work and I go home for lunch every day. DH has different days off and gets off earlier in the afternoon than I do. So the longest my dogs ever go is 4 hours on a couple of days but mostly it's about a 2 hour stretch alone and that's not too bad.
