My husband and I both work full time and Chloe does fine staying at home. I keep her in an x-pen, for her safety, with her food and water in it. She goes straight into her pen in the mornings while I'm getting ready for work without any encouragement. Originally, I went home at lunch and let her out for half an hour (fortunately it only takes me about 15 minutes to get home from work). But about the time she turned two, she started just looking at me like I was crazy when I'd come home at lunch and try to get her to go potty. I'd have to physically carry her out in the yard and then she'd go straight back to the door without doing anything, go back into her pen and curl up in her bed. So after a couple of months of that, I just gave up. I guess she's got a bladder of steel; she's never had an accident in her pen/on her potty pad during the day. I feel really weird about it but I can't make her go if she doesn't need to...*shrug* -C
