If pancreatitis has been diagnosed five times, why isn't she on an rx diet? No over the counter food is ok for this situation. Your vet hasn't recommended another diet?
IMO with what little info you have posted, it does not sound like this is a case in which euthanasia is necessary. It does sound mismanaged medically.
My dog has had pancreatitis more than once, severe food allergies (itching), severe food intolerances (horrible diarrhea), some type of esophagitis, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, and a liver problem and she is still alive! We had to find what works for her. And it was not easy.
What tests have been done? Any talk of biopsy?
Homecooked food is much less calorically dense than kibble, so they do need more volume. Obviously intestinal parasites has tonbe considered and hypothyroidism. With the recurrent pancreatitis, if this excessive eating is new, you may need to now rule out exocrine pancreatic insufficiency.
