 One-eye Issy
Missy/Issy had her right eye removed on Thursday. As I mentioned, she had a tumor and her eye needed to be removed before it got worse and more painful. The surgery went well but, as is usually for Issy, she freaks out when coming out of anesthesia. She wouldn't let anyone clean her up so I brought home a dog who looked like she had been in a boxing match with a swollen, bloody eye. What is also typical is that she is a quick healer. By Saturday she was off on a 2 mile walk and let me clean up the crusted blood. She has a huge appetite and lots of energy. If you didn't look at her face, you would have no idea that she had surgery a few days ago. She gets her stitches out in 10 days and then we hope she will be done with medical issues! |
