They can go days... It is extremely rare for a dog to purposely starve itself. Your pup knows you will give in. Tough love.
But if you are not comfortable with this, your pup likes homecooked food, you are happy to do it, and you don't mind spending a bit of money, then you can always have a re ipe formulated for your pup. I'd recommend contacting NCSU vet nutrition depr and consulting with Dr. Remillard.
