My xhusband told me that distemper in cats is the same thing as parvo in dogs. I've been wondering if that is true. Maybe someone here knows. I have two yorkies that stay inside of course and also a cat which stays outdoors. I think as long as you keep a cat up to date on shots and flea and tick free it's not a problem, especially if you keep the cat inside as they like to roam or at least mine does. One of my yorkies got worms from my cat several months ago so now I'm paranoid about fleas. I've never seen a flea on my dogs
