I have never fostered a Yorkie but I have taken in more than my share of stray and abandoned dogs and cats here. Our private shelter is full most of the time so when another dog or cat ends up in my backyard I have had to do what needs to be done for them. I have embarrassed myself more than once by crying almost uncontrollably when the new owner comes to take them home. One couple felt so bad for me that they offered not take the little one. There I was sobbing over the little creature I had hand fed as a baby because the mom did not have enough milk. You do get attached after going through so much with these poor creatures. I know I can't keep them all but always have that motherly attachment that is hard to break.
I hope you will be able to part with Molly without too much heartbreak. You know you have done your best for this one and now she is going to her new life and you will be able to help another one soon. |
