Yorkies should not leave there mothers until 12 weeks so you might need to do some research on bite inhibition and socialization, what the pup would be leaving from his mom if he was with her now. Also do some research on hypoglycemia because a small breed 8 week old puppy can be high risk for it. I am guessing sense you are in Florida you have the ac on so make sure the pup stays warm. Also do not take him for walks or to community property until he has had all his puppy shots. You can use a collar to hold tags but you should only use a harness when using a leash because of the delicate tracheas small dogs have.
