How did you take his temperature? Getting it right can be tricky. I have an ear thermometer and can never get the same temp. no matter how many times I've tried. Dogs usually have a temperature between 100.0 to 103.0 when taken that way. Normal rectal temp. is 100.5 to 102.5. Anything under 99 degrees could be something to be concerned about. Are you sure it is correct?
