I understand ethical and legal are certainly not synomynous. I have to look in the mirror everyday, so I try to avoid situations where my integrity and ethics are compromised. To NOT acknowledge the stud and compensate THAT breeder for the litter, TO ME, is akin to stealing....."to take and carry away wrongfully with intent to keep" and then profit from, by selling, the "goods". If no one else sees this as wrong, just write me off as a loony old lady!!!
I can understand your compensating the owner of the stud although they would probably want the pick of the litter. BUT, if you only have 1 puppy, and that can happen with a Yorkie, you could have all the expense and nothing to show for it. You could either wait till the dog has it's puppies before you contact the person or let them know what is going on and tell them your concerns.

BUT, the person that sold you your furbaby would not get ONE RED CENT from me. She should NOT make money from BEING STUPID.

BOY, can you tell me this whole thing has me fuming????
