Dear Forum,
I just want to warn (inform) this group of bonified Yorkie Terrier lovers that it is UNSAFE to sleep with your Yorkie (at least a 3 -4 month old one). THis is what has happened. I purchased a baby (12 week old ) from a breeder close to home in Bham ALabama. There were only two pups born of this mommy, both by c-section. My daughter took one (on Dec 3rd or so ) and the other pup was held till CHristmas EVe for this person's 16 yr old daughter. WEll, last night the baby was SMOTHERED to death by the 16 yr old!!! She was letting her sleep with her in the bed!!! The last thing i told my daughter was "Dont let that baby sleep with you...... you might smother it!" My daughter then rolled her eyes as if she wasn's listening, but aparently she was..... the baby BELLA sleep with her but in her CRATE!!!!! Bella is aprox 16 wks now and just 2 lbs 5 oz. THank goodness I am a overbearing Grand dog mother!!! I just want other owners of new pups to know it does happen and it is devastating!!!
