No, it was not something you did. Mother Nature outwits us sometimes and we are left to question and wonder and grieve. There is a "thing" called "Failing Puppy Syndrome" and no matter what we do the puppy dies.
I am so sorry to hear of the death BUT I am glad you named her and that you buried her under a tree. I am crying once again for my Jesse- he too is buried under a tree-a holly tree- and when it is rainy or cold I look out my kitchen window where so many babies are buried-everything from snakes,frogs,turtles, mice and ever so many more pets- and I cry for him. BUT, I am trying to remember that he has so many friends with him that he is not alone..Your baby's soul has crossed Rainbow Bridge where all is light and good..
