Awwwe. Is this your first litter? If so, know that the mamma will have to pee frequently and will want right back in with the babies. You will lose her as a companion for a little while, but don't worry, she will come back to you. Her first priority will be her pups....and be thankful for that....it is awful when they don't have maternal instincts. Don't try to get her attention and make her too comfortable away from the pups...she needs to be with them almost constantly in the beginning. Ok, I'll shut up now.
