I stopped taking mine to the groomers when the receptionist overbooked for an 8 hour day and my baby was there for almost 12 hours...whjen I finally went to get him, he was absolutely TERRIFIED...he was wild eyed and had the jerks....he was snuffling and wheezing...I am SURE they held him under the faucet and he got water in his nose and felt like he was drowning...It took me almost 8 months before I could even TURN WATER ON IN THE KITCHEN SINK, EVEN IF IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH BATHING HIM, WITHOUT HIM HEARING IT AND FLEEING, TERRIFIED OUT OF HIS MIND.....He was NEVER the same after that day....I got my own clippers and videos and started doing my own.....I will never claim to be even a poor groomer at best, but at least they stand still while I do what I can do, they are happy, and they are not cut and bleeding and terrified...they may all LOOK like Chineese Cresteds, but that is ok...they think that is normal.....they dont care, I dont care, and they dont go out in public! |
